Immersion-2 Development System

International clients can now order our immersion cooling development system for 3M™ Novec™ Engineered Fluids, such as Novec 7000 and Novec 649. The Immersion-2 development parts are intended for engineering purposes, including prototyping and evaluation at device manufacturers, development houses and electronic companies. These systems are not intended for production use, but may be ordered for small series installations. Working fluids may be ordered with development systems and quantities will be passed on to 3M for delivery via your local 3M branch.

Multi-condenser or high profile condenser configurations and custom modifications, including glass viewports and custom backplates on request.

  • Fits standard 19" server racks, 3 tanks per rack
  • Inside dimensions (L x W x H): 791mm x 411mm x 516mm
  • Standard condenser capacity 25-40kW (15 LPM)
  • Condenser dimensions (L x W x H): 1" BSPT (NPT on request)
  • Heavy duty shelves (300kg max) available on request (RAL9004)

More Efficient Than Air, Water or Oil

Immersion cooling has been around since the era of the Cray-2 supercomputer, but it has been considered too advanced and costly for non-military applications until recently. At this day and age, this assumption is simply not true any longer and we cannot afford to ignore this elegant solution to the high density cooling challenge.

The truth is, traditional cooling systems that use air, water or oil are complex and costly. The simplified approach of open bath immersion cooling offers a true alternative solution, saving large amounts of energy, greenhouse emissions and space. It also resolves a number of today’s engineering bottlenecks, allows manufacturers to build better hardware without heat transfer constraints, while also being much cheaper and less complex to build.

It's an open and future proof platform and it will play an important role in solving the energy crises we see in datacenters today.
